Learning environment and atmosphere

My Piano Studio is a place where learning can take place in a calm and relaxed, yet focused way.

Lesson Content

The lessons include note-reading, sight reading, aural training, singing, theory and general knowledge and music history.

Lesson Design

As each student is unique, I tailor the lessons to cater for their individual differences. There is no one size fits all when it comes to the approach I take.

Home Practice

Learning a discipline such as Music takes application on the part of the student. This necessitates regular practice at home. The more one practices, the greater the progress.

Young children including Primary School children do need parental supervision as a general rule. The very young need more parental involvement. As a child matures, this level of parental participation decreases. However, even the older child does appreciate the interest and support of parents.
